The dome section of the Todd and Jen Hutton Sports and Recreation Center collapsed Tuesday evening at Utica College.
According to an email from the Office of the President, the dome was empty as of 2 p.m. and no injuries were reported.
“We are grateful that there are no reports of injuries,” President Laura Casamento said in the email. “Fortunately, the collapse occurred during our spring break.”
Campus officials are in the process of accessing the damage and are hopeful the dome manufacturers will be on campus in the next few days.
The Dome, known as the Hutt on campus, opened its doors in December 2015.
