Women’s Lacrosse on a five-game win streak, wraps ups season at SUNY Canton on April 29

The Utica Women’s Lacrosse team is rolling on a five-game winning streak after defeating the SUNY Canton Kangaroos 13-9 on Wednesday, April 26 in Canton. 

The Pioneers’ current standing is 9-6, 4-2 Empire 8. Their regular season ends on Saturday, April 29  in a game against Keuka College at 1 p.m. 

According to freshman Belicia Biette, the team has their eyes on the Empire 8 tournament.

“We are encouraging each other every day,” Biette said. “One of our season highlights was when Samantha DeCondo reached 100 goals.” 

DeCondo is a senior midfielder. Other players who contributed to the team’s success this season include sophomore Grace Stuhlman, a midfielder, and freshman Breese Burlingame, a goalie.
