The Pioneers’ seven-game winning streak comes to an end as they drop the season finale to Nazareth College 4-1.
After a turnover by the Pioneers in the first period the Golden Flyers capitalized with an unassisted goal by Dominik Gabaj.
In the second period freshman forward Jarrod Fitzpatrick tied the game with his 11th goal of the season, assisted by Kevin Valenti, which is his 15th assists on the year.
The great effort to even things up wasn’t enough, as the Golden Flyers answered back with two goals in the second period and another goal in the third.
UC ends the regular season with a 17-8 record and their 12 ECAC West wins is the most in program history.
