
The Center for Career Readiness has multiple events planned before the end of the semester and all students are welcomed to attend.
A site tour of Utica Coffee Roasting Co. will take place on Friday, April 17 from 10 a.m.- 1 p.m. Students will have the opportunity to meet Frank Elias, owner of Utica Coffee Roasting Co., and learn about the sourcing of the beans and how they roast, package and distribute their coffee.
Students will also learn market strategies, operations to grow a business and the connections between the product, customer loyalty and business success. This opportunity is open to all students but especially targeted to Business, Marketing and Communication and Media majors.
Transportation will be provided from campus and students will be emailed more information the day of the event. To register, visit Handshake and then choose Events.
The second event, Bassett Healthcare Network will visit campus on Wednesday, April 22 in Mcfarlane Auditorium from 2:30 p.m.- 3:15 p.m. for nursing students and from 3:15 p.m. – 4 p.m. for occupational and physical therapy students.
Students will have the opportunity to hear from professionals in rehabilitation services, nursing leadership and talent acquisition. They will cover what it is like to work for Bassett Healthcare Network, growth potential and how Bassett supports new graduates. This is an opportunity to make connections and possibly explore internship opportunities. This is for nursing, occupational and physical therapists students.
