Utica University’s annual Student Conference for Research, Professional Activities, and Creative Arts will be held on Wednesday, April 22 from 2 – 4:30 p.m. The abstract submission deadline is Friday, April 17.
Poster sessions are from 2:15 -3 p.m. and oral presentations will be held from 3:15 – 4:30 p.m. in various locations on campus. Students from all disciplines are encouraged to participate, either through short talks or poster presentations.
To participate, students must fill out information in the Abstract Submission Form at https://forms.gle/WvXdYfnoiQzQWTcr6. They should contact their faculty advisor or school dean for more information or any issues with the submission process.
Types of presentations:
Oral presentations: Students should prepare a 12-minute presentation. There will be time for a 3-minute discussion time.
Poster presentations: Students should prepare a poster that fits on a 36″ x 48″ poster board (other sizes are acceptable if they fit on the board).
Virtual presentations (for distance students only): Students should prepare a 12-minute presentation.
Submission guidelines:
- The abstract should be a clear description of the project. For research projects, be sure to include the aims, methods, and results of the research.
- The abstract should be written in Times New Roman, 12-pt font.
- Include a line with the author names beginning with the primary author (a student), followed by any other authors. The research advisor should be included and listed last.
