“We started celebrating Thanksgiving about two years ago. We have traditional Korean foods, lots of noodles, meatballs, pie and salads.”
Emily Mroczek, Accounting and English major:
“My favorite Thanksgiving tradition is a little silly and it technically doesn’t count as a Thanksgiving tradition, but I have a favorite relative who always comes over every Thanksgiving. She brings along her kids, but specifically this relative is her dog. We love, love, love, love her dog. He sadly passed away recently so it doesn’t count as a tradition anymore, but he was my favorite part of Thanksgiving.”
Olivia Russo, Occupational Therapy major, graduate student:
“My family picks our Secret Santa and we usually watch a family movie.”
Kaw Christ, Dietician and Nutrition major:
“I like spending time with my family and preparing meals. My family usually doesn’t stick to traditional American Thanksgiving food. Every year, we get together the week of and vote on a different country’s dishes to make for Thanksgiving”
Tiara Islas, Psychology major:
“A tradition I have is we watch Charlie Brown.”
Reid Kennedy, History major:
“A lot of the time my family drives up to Maine to see my grandpa. So going up North usually reminds me of and gives me Thanksgiving energy.”
