On Friday, the Pioneers lost their third straight to SUNY Cortland  4-2.

Cortland dominated the first two quarters by scoring the game’s first three goals and only allowing one for the Pioneers. The Red Dragons finished the second quarter with another score giving them a 4-1 advantage heading into the third.

Sophomore Zach Borsoi scored Utica’s first goal with assists going to sophomore Alex Roberts and senior Connor Schmidt.

The second goal was put in by junior Mikhail Bushinski who was assisted by fellow juniors Brett Szanjer and Roman Ammirato.

The Pioneers drop to 8-3, however, they still hold a perfect record in conference play.

Utica hits the ice next Friday at Morrisville State College with a 7 p.m. start time.
