The Utica college men’s soccer team suffered its second loss of the season to New Paltz Sunday afternoon 4-0. This is the first time in five games that Utica has been held scoreless.
New Paltz got things going in the 33rd minute with a score from sophomore Luke Dole. Freshman Kevin Doorley found the back of the net two minutes later to give the Hawks a two goal lead. The Hawks added two more in the second half to finish the game.
Utica was only able to take 3 shots the entire game and could not get on the scoreboard. New Paltz kept the sophomore Pioneer goaltender Jonathan Side busy with 30 shots and 17 on goal.
The Pioneers will be on the road for Wednesday’s game against Morrisville State College. Start time is at 7:30 p.m.
