Tracy Pratt is the Associate Director of Donor Relations and works in the Office of Advancement, located on the fourth floor of Clark City Center.
Q: Where are you from?
A: I grew up in Oriskany so I am a local.
Q: What is the best part of your job?
A: The best part of my job is working with the donors and alumni. I have the wonderful opportunity to say thank you to donors and express appreciation for supporting students. It is an incredible thing to think that donors invest interest in students they do not know so they have the opportunity to study more and have less debt. This investment keeps everything moving forward. One popular and fun event that the Advancement office organizes is homecoming.
Q: What is the most difficult part of your job?
A: There is no difficult part of my job. I love every aspect of it. I love the excitement of it all and I am very comfortable in the education setting. If something difficult does come up the whole Advancement staff works together to solve it.
Q: How long have you worked at Utica University?
A: I have been with the University for almost 11 years. For the first 5 years, I worked as an events coordinator.
Q: What are some hobbies or activities that you enjoy in your free time?
A: I have a son that is currently a senior here at Utica University and a husband, who graduated from the University. We love to do family activities, especially camping in the Adirondacks. One of my happiest places is the Adirondacks. It is such a beautiful and magical place to be. We love to go hiking out there such as Moss Lake and Bald Mountain, boating, and trying out the restaurants.
