Several changes, including office relocations and Utica University leadership positions, took place over the summer and were announced last month via campus email.
On Aug. 22, Utica University President Todd Pfannestiel made the following office relocation announcements:
Academic Affairs
- The administrative offices for the Schools of Arts and Sciences, Business and Justice Studies, and Health Professions and Education have been consolidated into a centralized Deans’ suite in Hubbard Hall 117 (housed with the Office of Student Financial Services).
- Faculty offices for the Department of Business and Economics are now located in South Hall, rooms 151-167. To access these offices, use the exterior entrance on the side of the building facing Boehlert Hall.
- The First Source Federal Credit Union Trading Room has been relocated to Bull Hall 102, in the space that formerly housed the Business and Justice Studies school offices.
- A brand new, Cyber Range will open later this Fall semester in Bull Hall 223.
- The Accelerated BSN skills lab and nursing lab are now located in Gordon Science Center 262 and 265, respectively.
- The Office of Student Success, formerly located in Hubbard Hall 117, has moved across the hall to Hubbard 115.
Student Affairs
- The former Office of Student Living and Campus Engagement (SLCE) is now the Office of Student Living in Strebel Student Center 204 and the Office of Student Involvement and Leadership in Strebel 206.
Advancement
- The Office of Advancement has moved into the Donohue Concourse, rooms C128-C132.
Enrollment Management
- The Office of Enrollment Operations is now located in the Cynkus Family Welcome Center. Enrollment Operations, like Advancement, was formerly located at Clark City Center.
On Aug. 19, Stephanie Nesbitt, Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, announced the following leadership changes in the Division of Academic Affairs:
- The academic school offices relocated to the corner of White and Hubbard Halls in the former Student Success space. All the deans and the school administrative professional staff are now in this one location. The team will work through the academic year to develop consistent processes across all schools.
- Academic Affairs welcomed back the opportunity programs, HEOP, CSTEP and TRIO as they return to the Division of Academic Affairs.
- Dr. Jason Denman assumed a new role as Assistant Provost and Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences. Denman brings several years of experience as a department chair, associate dean, and dean to his new role. In his new role, Denman will supervise the HEOP, CSTEP, and TRIO programs, and assist Sr. Associate Provost Ann Damiano on a variety of projects. Denman will remain a member of the Deans’ Council, Provost’s Cabinet, and Joint Cabinet.
- Dr. Patrice Hallock announced her retirement will be effective on May 31, 2026. During this transitional year, Hallock will focus on coaching, mentoring and planning. Effective Aug.16, 2025, Hallock assumed the role of Associate Dean for the School of Health Professions and Education. In this role, she will help the new dean transition into the role, help develop and define the role of associate dean in the School of HPE, help develop and prepare the incoming associate dean who will assume the role when she retires. Hallock will remain an active member of the Deans’ Council, Provost’s Cabinet and Joint Cabinet during this transitional year.
· Dr. Polly Smith assumed the role of Dean of the School of Health Professions and Education effective August 16, 2025. Smith brings many years of experience as a department chair, program director, associate provost, and vice president to her new role. Smith will work closely with Hallock during the academic year to ensure a smooth leadership transition. Smith will join the Deans’ Council, Provost’s Cabinet and Joint Cabinet in her new role.
