The Office of Student Affairs is looking for exceptional UC students. Nominations for Who’s Who among Students in American Universities and Colleges can be submitted no later than February 20.
This award is a way to recognize college students across the country. It has been existed since the mid 1930s.
Dean of Students and Campus Life Robert Perkins, who received this award in 1970, talked about the importance of bringing light to the achievements of Utica College students.
“It is somewhat unique as well, in that it is not limited to a small number of students, and takes a holistic approach focusing on student engagement both inside and outside of the classroom,” Perkins said.
Nominated students must have completed 57 credit hours and have accumulated an average GPA of 2.5 or higher.
Award winners will be chosen based on their academic achievement, number and diversity of extracurricular activities, leadership and creativity.
Students can nominate themselves or another student by filling out a nomination form at www.utica.edu/student.
The winners will be recognized at the Student Recognition ceremony in April.
